oberfläche der kugel

Ich muss unbedingt wissen wie man auf die formel kommt.
Also die formel weis ich:
4 mal pi mal r²

aber ich muss wissen warum man 4 mal pi rechnet und dann noch r².
kann mir bitte jemand helfen?
